Damien Plant is an accomplished executive coach and licensed management consultant with over 32 years of experience in Defence and Diplomacy. He brings a wealth of leadership and team management experience to his coaching practice, drawing on both successful and challenging situations. Damien’s coaching style is deeply reflective and focused on helping senior leaders refine their thinking, create impactful strategies, and drive organisational change.
After an extensive career across Europe and globally, Damien is now based in Vienna, where he specialises in assisting organisations in transitioning to more sustainable practices. He works closely with senior leaders to help them develop clarity of purpose and improve both personal and professional performance. His international experience gives him unique insights into leadership challenges faced in a wide range of cultural and operational contexts.
Damien’s areas of expertise include leadership development, coaching for sustainability transitions, talent development, and designing learning programmes for individuals and teams. He has worked with a diverse client base, including the UK Army, prestigious universities, major European real estate developers, and SME business owners in Central Europe. He is also passionate about pro-bono coaching, helping individuals in their lives and careers.
Damien holds an MBA from the Open University Business School, a Master’s in Defence from King’s College London, and several other qualifications, including a Master of Education and Training from the University of Bath and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Sustainable Business from Cambridge University. He is a Fellow of IEMA and is certified in various coaching and development tools.
